SV Wehen Wiesbaden beat SpVgg Unterhaching at home on the 32nd match day of the 3rd Liga. In a close encounter, the Rehm XI displayed strong nerves and asserted themselves against the guests from Upper Bavaria with a 1:0 (1:0) home win at the BRITA Arena. The goal of the day was scored very early on by Dennis Kempe (3’).
This second win in series puts the Red and Blacks in 5th position in the table with 51 points. Manager Rüdiger Rehm’s team is already back in action again on Wednesday against top of the league Hansa Rostock.
Rüdiger Rehm: “It was jittery right up to the last minute, but we managed to keep a clean sheet for the second game in a row. That’s very important for us. We have a difficult away match on Wednesday in Rostock. We will do all we can to take home a point from that”.
Dennis Kempe: “We missed the chance to add another goal, which is why Tim Boss had to keep us in the game at the end. Overall, it was a strong, fighting performance by the entire team”.
SVWW: Boss - Mrowca, Mockenhaupt, Carstens, Chato - Korte, Kempe (80‘ Walbrecht), Medic - Kuhn (58’ Lankford), Tietz, Brumme (58’ Malone)
