SVWW narrow defeat to Champions in season finale
Pros |
SV Wehen Wiesbaden lost 0:3 (0:0) at home to MSV Duisburg on the 34th match day of the 3rd Liga. Manager Rüdiger Rehm’s XI started well but in the end had to admit a deserved defeat to very efficient guests.
With that, SVWW still has 52 points and is 6th in the table four match days before the end of the season. On Wednesday, the Red and Blacks line out against the Regionalliga team, FC Gießen, in the quarter final of the Landespokal Hessen cup. Kick-off is 5 pm.
SVWW manager, Rüdiger Rehm: “It was a well-deserved victory for MSV. We have struggled this year and up to now, the lads have done well again and again and tried to compensate. We have always tried to get the best out of each situation, which is why this is not the time to start criticising and reproaching the players. We have a hugely important game in the cup on Wednesday. We should be building up the players so that we are ready to fight the next battle”.
