SV Meppen vs. SV Wehen Wiesbaden 0:3
Putting in a strong performance, SV Wehen Wiesbaden won its away game 3:0 against SV Meppen on the 31st match day of the 3rd Liga. Phillip Tietz already put SVWW into a 1:0 lead (13’) in the first half. Shortly after the start of the second period, a Tietz header put yet another brace in the bag (48’). Gianluca Korte’s shot from a distance ensured the final score of 3:0 (72’).
The win pushed the Red and Blacks up to 6th place in the 3rd Liga table with 48 points.
Manager Rüdiger Rehm: “We allowed very little to get through to our goal, and we were very effective going forward, and scored three goals. I can only compliment the team. After a few difficult weeks, they showed a really good attitude today”.
Philip Tietz: “We now have to build on this performance and won’t be sitting on our laurels. It’s important to take all three points again next week against Unterhaching”.
