SVWW narrow defeat to Champions in season finale

A local Hesse derby and the last home match of an action-packed year of football to boot: on 8 December, the second Sunday of Advent, SV Wehen Wiesbaden host SV Darmstadt in the BRITA Arena, with the match scheduled to kick off at 13.30 CET.
Personnel: Club captain Sebastian Mrowca will be forced to watch from the sidelines through suspension after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season. ''We have various players who can step in to replace him - Gökhan Gül and Jeremias Lorch are both options,'' said Head Coach Rüdiger Rehm. Benedikt Röcker has been training alone over the past two days due to a light muscle strain - there are question marks surrounding his participation on Sunday. Rehm is once more able to call on Stefan Aigner, who is available for selection again after serving a suspension.
The scenario: SVWW will be high on confidence after their richly deserved 2-0 win away in Nuremberg. ''Our preparations for this match have been really intense,'' said Paterson Chato, going on to add: ''We can't wait for the match and the brilliant atmosphere in the BRITA Arena.
Outlook: A crowd of over 8,000 is expected in the BRITA Arena on Sunday. ''We can't wait to get out there in the derby and play with the same passion and mentality that we showed last week,'' said Rehm. ''We know we're going to face a real arm wrestle out there against a physically tough and tactically strong opponent. But we're going to throw absolutely everything at them, make their lives as difficult as possible and, ultimately, create chances and score goals.''
The opposition: SVWW can expect to face a physically imposing side who are particularly dangerous from set-pieces and on the counter-attack. ''We have to take care to make sure that they don't catch us on the break. It's important to play hard and win as many duels as possible in the middle of the park,'' said Rehm. Darmstadt have experienced players throughout their side and ''the club have developed into a very solid second-tier outfit over the past few years.''
Here's what Paterson Chato has to say: ''The atmosphere among the team is really good. We want to pick up where we left off against Nuremberg. As for me personally - I am happy to play anywhere, it all comes down to where the coach needs me,'' said Chato, who most recently lined up as part of a three-man defensive line. ''Paterson is an important player for us. He's strong in the tackle and, no matter which role he plays, he'll always give 100 percent out there,'' said Rehm when discussing his number 15.
